CVCC Joins the Launch of the Adult Diploma Program
The Adult Diploma Program provides job training and a new pathway for adults, ages 22 or older, to earn a high school diploma and industry credentials aligned to one of Ohio's in-demand jobs at no cost to the student.
"Cuyahoga Valley Career Center (CVCC) is excited to join this effort in offering the Adult Diploma Program to help individuals earn a diploma and receive quality training within an in-demand career field," said Adult Education Director Marcy Trew.
Participants enrolling in the Adult Diploma Program will train for in-demand jobs through their choice of CVCC's occupational programs of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Graphic Design, State Tested Nurse Aid (STNA), EKG Technician, Phlebotomy, Web Design, and Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC). the program will provide free job training and award high school diplomas through the Ohio Department of Education.
"the Adult Diploma Program is set-up to help students succeed and they can choose the training that fits their interests, so they can complete the program, enter the career field, and excel and advance," said Program Coordinator Ken Hudiak.
Trew states this new opportunity for adults, to earn a diploma and train for an in-demand career at the same time, will make a real difference in the lives of the participants and their families.
