Hello Cuyahoga Valley Career Center students and parents. I hope this message finds you all well.
I am calling with 3 important updates due to Governor DeWine’s announcement of suspended courses through the end of this school year.
1 - During the week of May 18th, students will be required to come to CVCC during a specifically scheduled day and within the timeframe of their normally scheduled time at CVCC (during the AM or PM), to clean out lockers, pick-up personal items and to turn in textbooks, uniforms, Chromebooks and any other items that need to be returned. Program instructors will communicate with students as to which day during this week they are to attend, and the schedule will also be posted on CVCC’s website at www.cvccworks.edu under the COVID-19 link at the top of the home page. Program instructors will only be in the building on those designated days. This will assist us in our effort to practice social distancing and will limit the number of people in the building at one time.

2 - The last day for Seniors to participate in remote/online learning will be Wednesday, May 13th. The last day for Junior students to participate in remote/online learning will be Thursday, May 21st. Student grades will be reported to the associate schools after those respective dates.
Lastly, we are disappointed for all of our students and staff, but especially for our seniors who did not have the opportunity to participate in our end-of-year celebrations and recognitions. To recognize our Seniors, we will be creating an event on the CVCC Facebook page to create a “CVCC Class of 2020 Scrapbook.” We would like to invite our Seniors, their parents, and CVCC instructors to participate and post on this Facebook page. This event page will be available beginning Monday, May 11th.
Thank you for your time and stay well.
