Mr. Fahey is the Sports Medicine Exercise Science Instructor at CVCC. Mr. Fahey earned his BA in Exercise Science/Sports Medicine from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1997 and his MS in Athletic Training from Indiana State University in 1999. He has worked in a variety of sports medicine settings including Division I athletics, high school, and outpatient physical therapy. As a preceptor for the Athletic Training programs at the University of Akron and Kent State University, he also gained valuable insight into the requirements and expectations for post-secondary education in sports medicine.
Mr. Fahey spends his time away from work enjoying the outdoors, running, and most importantly spending time with his two sons and wife. His 20 years of experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer allows him to bring real-life experiences and knowledge to the classroom to provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue successful careers in the Sports Medicine Exercise Science industry.
