The School of Nursing at CVCC began in 1963 as the Parma School of Nursing and moved to Cuyahoga Valley Career Center in 2002, where it is now considered one of the top nursing schools in Cleveland, Ohio and the surrounding areas of Cuyahoga County, Ohio.
The ten month full-time program begins every August with completion in June. Hours for class and clinical days vary starting in the mornings at 6:45 AM with clinical training or 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM with classroom instruction, Monday through Friday.
The 21-month part-time program begins every September. The schedule is rotated between day and evening hours from year to year. The part-time program is 15-22 hours per week, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday and during clinical training includes every other weekend on Saturday and Sunday from 6:45 AM - 3:00 PM.
Students successful in completing this 1200-clock hour program are afforded the opportunity to take the NCLEX exam with the Ohio Board of Nursing to become licensed practical nurses.
