About Me

Over the course of my nursing career, I realized that I had a passion for sharing health information with others. So when I completed my Master’s Degree in Nursing, I focused on Health Education.

I found a place to do the work I love at CVCC. In 2003, I started as an Instructor in the Licensed Practical Nursing Program. I became a Health Careers Instructor in the High School at the start of the 2015-2016 School Year. Over the next two years, I earned my Career Technical Educators License, which I still hold.

In April of 2020, I was pleased to accept the role of School Nurse for the 2020-2021 School Year and beyond. In December 2021, I completed the coursework necessary to become a Licensed School Nurse.

As the School Nurse, I am here to help your student if they have an illness or injury during the school day, and to help them manage long-term health needs. I also help educate students, parents, and staff. But School Nursing also goes beyond these basics. If you’d like to learn more, click here.
