Grading remains the same for second year of program,
Attendance will be the primary focus of attention along with quality of workmanship.
Grading is broken down into three parts “ Related”, “Lab”, "Lab project"
Related is 40% of your total grade, which includes the following:
Text Assignments
Quizzes
Tests
Video worksheets
Misc. written assignments
Class participation
Lab is 50% of your total grade, which includes the following:
Lab project participation, organized work area (2 Points earned)
Clean up assignment completion, Time Card completion (daily) (1 Point earned)
Wearing proper uniform, Wearing safety glasses/work boots (1 Point earned)
Your lab grade is 4 points per day 20 total points for the 5 day week, these points cannot be made up if not present unless the reason is of an emergency/medical reason such as hospitalized for an injury or illness, In these cases an alternative assignment will be assigned outside of the classroom and will require visiting a servicing dealer(s) on the students own time.
Lab Project is 10% of your total grade, which includes the following projects:
Metal Drill/Tap/Weld/Cut project
Customer service project (minimum 2)
Diesel bottom end service
Diesel top end/fuel injection service
Diesel Engine Tune up
Truck wheel bearing service (Front & Rear)
Truck Brake Service
Hydraulic component service
