Mrs. Mangan is the Library Media Specialist here at CVCC and has been a teacher at CVCC since 2004. In each of her classes, Mrs. Mangan uses direct instruction and real-life experiences to provide students with the skills they need to pursue a successful career using the E-Library as a key resource.
In addition to a wide variety of technology features, there is a strong emphasis on reading and writing activities in the library. Employers today are demanding that their employees step foot in the door with exemplary reading and writing capabilities and we at CVCC are making sure our students are prepared for the workforce.
Most recently the library has become a center for instruction for students enabling them to test and certify in Certiport IC3, MOS, CAD, MTA, and Adobe. Many of our programs are offering these opportunities to students.
Resources for students and teachers include access to electronic sources through 30 PC's and 20 Chromebooks. Also available are, printer/copier, digital cameras, and flip video cameras. The library has an extensive collection of "teen of-interest" novels. This collection has been developed with teens in mind. The stories relate to relevant topics and events in the life of a teen. Students may borrow these books for their reading pleasure.
The library is conveniently open prior to school and during the lunch hour. There is a teacher available during these times for questions and your technology needs.
Welcome to CVCC's E-Library. You will always receive the attention and assistance you need at the E-Library. Use it often and always feel welcome!
