CCNA2 Routing and Switching – Routing and Switching Essentials (Semester 1)
CCNA3 Enterprise Networking, Security, and Automation (Semester 2)
This two-year program covers Information Technology training for careers in Network and PC support encompassing several industry driven certifications: IC3, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). Culminating semester exams will include both an objective final exam along with hands-on skills assessments to demonstrate proficiency.
The emphasis in this course is on students earning certifications that lead to college credits and high-paying employment. There are jobs available for certified students. especially for those who have demonstrated the motivation and effort to pass certification exams. Over 90% of our students continue IT studies in college with credits earned at CVCC, about 5% join military in IT occupation area, and about 5% directly enter the workforce.

During the first semester of the senior year, students can participate in an optional 3-week non-paid field experience in a related PC/Networking career field (usually December). They can also be eligible for Early Placement during second semester starting in January if they meet all qualifications to begin gaining valuable work experience.
