The Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) credential system awards the Certified Production Technician credential that covers the four critical production functions, as defined by MSSC's nationally validated skills standards, common to all sectors of manufacturing: Safety, Quality Practices & Measurement, Manufacturing Processes and Production, and Maintenance Awareness. Each area is addressed with a separate assessment to help determine the knowledge of specific situations that can appear in the field.
