Mr. Van Tilburg has been the Media Arts Instructor at CVCC since 2004. He also teaches English Language Arts to the Media Arts students. In Media Arts, students use professional software like the Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop) for video post production, Adobe Animate, Character Animator and Maxon Cinema 4D
for animation, Avid Pro Tools for audio recording and mixing, and professional equipment such as Canon, JVC and Panasonic cameras, dollies, jibs, sliders, gimbals, lights, microphones and more to produce real world projects (

Our students have done internships and job shadowing with Flex Media, The Akron Rubber Ducks, The Quicken Loans Arena, First Energy Stadium, The Greater Cleveland Film Commission, Garage Creative Studios, Think Media Studios, Imagen Photography, WKYC-TV3, WEWS Newschannel 5,WVIZ Ideastream, The Cleveland Clinic, RCS Corporation, Lavaroom Recording, Classic Worldwide Productions, WTAM Radio, and WKNR Radio. In each of his classes, Mr. Van Tilburg uses direct instruction and real-life experiences to provide students with the skills they need to continue their education or enter the workplace in a media related field.
