Mrs. Bodnar is a Transition Coordinator at CVCC and has been a teacher here for more than 20 years. Mrs. Bodnar is available for our associate schools, families, students, communities, and agencies - during these more trying times and the better times as well. Please reach out for assistance and questions. Mrs. Bodnar typically works with Cuyahoga Heights High School, Garfield Heights High School, and North Royalton High School as well as working directly with students at CVCC.
She will be involved with you through your IEP/Transition process and will assist students and families with future planning. These activities may be through a variety of means, such as: attending IEP meetings, promoting career assessments through CVCC, assisting with agency referrals, monitoring work study, and regularly meeting with staff and students from the Associate School Districts.
With all of her students, Mrs. Bodnar uses direct instruction and real-life experiences to offer suggestions to students and families as they progress and move on in to the adult world. Many opportunities are available through out the school year to assist students and families. Cuyahoga Valley Parent and Student Information Night for Sophomores will be held in January this year. 10th Graders, please plan on attending!!! A Transition Fair as well as College Fairs and the CVCC Job Fair are all great forums for students and parents to attend to work toward their transition planning. For more information regarding these events, please contact your Transition Coordinator at CVCC or at your Associate School.
Part of transition is involvement in the community. CVCC communities and surrounding communities have created a social group for our students. You can find information on the Facebook page "Band of Brothers and Gal Pals." Please consider participating.
Looking forward to a great 2022-23 school year!
