CVCC - Top Performing School in NE Ohio
CVCC exceeded all schools nationally and was a top performing school in HSTW NE Ohio Region in providing students with an intensive emphasis in Integrating Academics into Career Technical Education, Quality Career Technical Education, Work-based Learning and Guidance. CVCC has been recognized numerous time in the past for outstanding performance and continues to be among the top performing HSTW schools. Fifty-nine CVCC 12th grade students participated in the survey, along with 24,221 students in 16 member states in the Southern Regional Education Board's HSTW national network.

Diana Rogers, Executive Director of HSTW Ohio Network, presented this recognition at the February 23 Board of Education meeting and praised CVCC for its achievement, noting the crucial roles of the Ohio high schools in graduating all students ready to be enrolled, employed or enlisted. CVCC Superintendent, Dr. Celena Roebuck and Principal, Mike Hall, praised CVCC for showing what can be accomplished to raise student achievement by deeply implementing the HSTW design and strengthening curriculum and instruction. CVCC exemplifies the spirit of change that HSTW advocates, resulting in improved student achievement and graduation rates.
