Student Clubs & Organizations
Students learn leadership skills while becoming involved in their program area at state and national levels by participation in these outstanding student organizations.
National Technical Honor Society- The National Technical Honor Society honors career-technical high school students who excel in scholarship, leadership, service and character. Membership is determined by a student’s scholastic achievement, attendance, deportment, participation in career-technical student organizations and teacher recommendations. Final selections are made by a committee of CVCC staff. Members organize activities that promote school spirit, including the Halloween costume contest, Cleveland Indians Spirit Day, a holiday decorating contest, the spring picnic and fundraisers to help social causes. These activities help develop leadership skills and a sense of school unity and community. 
SkillsUSASkillsUSA is a national organization of students involved in industrial education. The organization helps students explore occupations through skills competitions and visits to industries, while helping them understand the responsibilities of skilled workers. SkillsUSA promotes solid trade ethics and safety standards while fostering understanding of labor and management. Students develop their leadership abilities as they are establishing realistic career goals. Students in the following programs are eligible for membership: Auto Body Repair, Auto Service Technology, Building & Property Maintenance, Computer-Aided Design, Construction Trades, Cosmetology, Dental Assisting, Digital Design, Electrical Trades, Electronics, Graphic Imaging Technology, Health Careers, Heating & Air Conditioning, Machine Technology, Media Technology, Power Equipment Technology, and Public Health & Safety. 
DECA- An Association of Marketing Students - DECA is the youth organization for students enrolled in Marketing Technology and Sales & Service Fundamentals. The organization helps students develop leadership abilities while teaching them about the physical distribution of goods, sales, storage and successful management techniques. DECA sponsors competitive events and promotes competencies needed for marketing, merchandising and management careers. 
Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA)- The Family, Career and Community Leaders of America helps young people assume roles in society through home economics education in areas of personal growth, family life, preparation for jobs and careers, and community involvement. Activities include participating in local, state and national competitions, community service projects and social events. Students enrolled in the Culinary Arts & Food Services and Hotels & Resorts programs are eligible for membership.  
Business Professionals of America (BPA)- The Business Professionals of America is a youth organization that helps students develop leadership abilities and promotes interest in business skill occupations. The club, through its annual skill competition, strongly emphasizes high-level competency in business skills and pride in working toward successful business employment. Each program belonging to Business Professionals of America holds elections of class officers, plans fund-raising events, participates in skill competitions, works on service projects and plans career-related activities. Students enrolled in these programs are eligible for membership: The Company, Computer Networking Academy, Cooperative Business Education, Legal Secretary and Programming & Software Development.  
Future Educators of America (FEA)- As the only national precollegiate program for prospective teachers, FEA has the mission to provide students with opportunities to explore careers in education. Through participation in an FEA chapter, students gain a realistic understanding of the nature of education and the role of the teacher. The national FEA office at Phi Delta Kappa International coordinates information about teaching as a profession, employment opportunities, financial assistance options for teacher education, and career issues, such as professional mobility, diversity, job security, and other matters. 
Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA)HOSA is a student organization whose mission is to promote career opportunities in health care and to enhance the delivery of health care to all people.
