High School Students First Day of SchoolFirst Day of School for High School Students
On Wednesday, August 21, CVCC staff welcomed incoming and returning secondary students. Staff greeted students off the bus, followed by Principal Mike Hall addressing everyone with encouraging words before sending them off with their specific teachers and program instructors. This year, CVCC is pleased to offer the new high school program, Transportation Services. CVCC is proud to serve students in the Brecksville-Broadview Heights, Cuyahoga Heights, Garfield Heights, Independence, Nordonia Hills, North Royalton, Revere, and Twinsburg districts. There is much more to come for the 2019/20 school year!

Facilities and Operations Update
Sports Medicine Exercise Science LabThis summer, CVCC took on a major heating and air conditioning replacement and upgrade project. Eight outdated roof top units were replaced that provided heating and cooling for CVCC's north academic areas. The new, high efficiency units now mainly provide cooling. A small boiler plant was added to provide the heating in a much more efficient way. The project took the entire summer break to complete and parts of the system are still being balanced and tested. The project went well as CVCC was able to keep on schedule and start school on time. CVCC's Business Manager, Hal Kendrick, thanks the maintenance and custodial staff for working very hard to prepare the building for the project, and for working even harder to get the building back together for the start of school. He also thanks the Board of Education and Superintendent Mangas for their help and support throughout the entire project. The project's construction manager, Green Space Construction Services, the mechanical contractor, Mielke Mechanical, and the many other contractors involved did a great job completing the project on a very tight timeline. Finally, Mr. Kendrick thanks CVCC's instructors and support staff for their help and cooperation in preparing their spaces as well as relocating their offices in preparation for the work. What an exceptional team effort!
