Certification: students have the opportunity to acquire the following certifications:
  • Emergency Medical Technician - Basic
  • Bloodborne Pathogens
  • CPR, Oxygen, First Aid
  • Automated External Defibrillation
  • National Incident Management System 100 & 700
  • Emergency Management Institute Intro to Hazardous Materials 5.A
Do you have the skills necessary to manage an emergency? You'll get them in Public Health & Safety. First, you'll concentrate on a Public Safety Core which includes concepts related to a wide range of public safety professions, including search and rescue, fire fighting, environmental protection and emergency medicine. Then, you'll concentrate on the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program and prepare to pass the National Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) exam.
