Laurie Robusto, MSN, RN, is the newest Health Careers Instructor. She started in High School education in the 2015-2016 school year. Prior to that, she was with the School of Nursing at Cuyahoga Valley Career Center, teaching Nursing since 2003. Ms. Robusto began her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), graduating from Lorain County Community College in 1983. She thereafter earned her Associate's Degree in Nursing from Regents College which allowed her to get her Registered Nursing (RN) license. She continued her nursing education, earning her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Ashland University, and her Master's Degree in Nursing with a focus in Nursing Education from St. Joseph’s College of Maine. She has also earned her Train-the-Trainer Certification and completed additional Masters-level classes in Career and Technical Education at Kent State University.
Ms. Robusto has worked in extended care facilities, inpatient and outpatient dialysis units, and at the Cleveland Clinic/Lutheran Hospital on various units, including postoperative cardiothoracic care, transplant, general medical-surgical/orthopedic and psychiatric/mental health.
She loves reading, spending time with her children and grandchildren, walking in the Metroparks with her dog, and following the Cleveland Indians.
