Year One - 3.0 elective, 1.0 Environmental Science (required) 
Year Two - 4.0 elective
Certification: students have the opportunity to acquire the following certifications:
  • OSHA 10-Hour Safety certification. 
  • National Center for Construction Education & Research - Level 1 Electrical
  • IC3 (Internet & Computing Core Certification)
Electricity is America's main source of energy and everyone is affected by it. The Electrical & Alternative Energy Systems program offers each student the opportunity to learn basic electrical skills and to progress to the cutting edge of 21st century technologies. The diversified coursework gives students a strong foundation in electrical systems installation and repair; lighting circuits; transformers; AC and DC motors; motor control circuits; using robots and programmable logic controllers as used in residential, commercial, and industrial applications. This program can be a stepping-stone. It provides students with skills they can use to earn money through work-based learning opportunities while they pursue advanced training. Students may earn college credits and continue their education at a four-year university, community college, technical institute, or registered apprenticeship program. Other programs in Construction Technologies career field: Building & Property MaintenanceConstruction Trades, and Heating & Air Conditioning.
